High Neck Capelet Crochet Pattern

If you’re thinking crochet “capelet” sounds like some lost relic of the Victorian age, you’re not far off.

Before Wonder Woman was ever painted on the page, capes were a staple in historical fashion.

The capelet is a variation, that traditionally hit just at the waist, making it much shorter than an average cape. It became popularized in the Victorian era.

A capelet today can refer to anything originating from a cape silhouette but that is shorter in length.

This high neck capelet crochet pattern will have you feeling posh with a contemporary spin on a very classic garment.

This is such a cute piece that can go over any sweater to add an extra layer of warmth.

You’ll be working in the round, so this is a great, beginner-friendly crochet project that will help you work out some new crochet techniques. And with basic crochet stitches like the half double crochet, you’ll be able to whip up this pattern in no time.
