Houses Coloring Page

Free printable house coloring pages - a wonderful resource for teachers, homeschoolers and parents. Also a fun and educational way to entertain kids. Houses Coloring Page – When I was a little girl I used to spend hours drawing houses and floor plans that went with them. I still remember my Dad walking to the end of our very long farm lane driveway to get the weekend newspaper. As soon as he brought it in I would fling it open in search for the “homes” section. Back in the day, they would have pages of house renderings and the corresponding floor plan designs – trying to entice all the farm folk to become city slickers. To this day I have no idea what it was that drew me to draw page after page of houses but I know I had books full of my designs. At one point I was seriously considering becoming an architect but then my school guidance counselor told me all the math credits I’d need to get into University – let’s just say that math wasn’t my strong suit. Eventually the dream of being an architect faded but I never lost my joy of drawing houses. Now that same joy seems to have been passed down to my daughter who loves drawing, especially the bricks on the buildings.

I’ve made two designs. The first printable is a coloring page full of houses. The second printable has houses but also an option for kids to draw their own house too – a wonderful resource for teachers, homeschoolers and parents. Also a fun and educational way to entertain kids.

    Hi Jamey,

I just printed a bunch of these for my girls, and also some to have in my work bag when I am visiting families. Sometimes the kids like to be included at the table, but would give them something fun to do!

    Thank you!!!

Hi Deanna, great idea to keep spares around, especially at the dinner table (home or at a restaurant). Thanks for the comment.

Love your coloring page! I loved those floor plans too! Can you suggest a good quality colored pencil? The ones from the local store are just too light.

Hi Patti, thanks for your lovely comment. I actually just used a Crayola 24 pack for the houses in this post. My daughter also has Prisma Colors which are quite lovely too! Let me know what you think.

It’s high time I wrote to tell you how much I love your printables. I always enjoy them immensely and I am not a child! I don’t even have children around any more, they are all grown up but still I love your colouring pages and other printables. Thank you so much for being so generous and sharing with us. Sending best wishes from Germany

Thanks so much Claudia! A quick funny story for you. My mother-in-law Lynda emailed me last night to say she was at a meeting where people were talking about things they do to relax and many mentioned working on coloring pages. Lynda didn’t even realize that I had just posted this new coloring page but is now going to print out this and some of my other pages and dive into the world of coloring. It really is a great way to relax and de-stress. Thanks again Claudia for your sweet words.

Love, love, love your colouring printables!! I really don’t enjoy the ones with way too much on the page. Love how so many of yours have white space around each picture! With thanks and love from South Australia!
