If there are two things I fall back on to help me unwind after a long day, it’s Netflix and Crochet.  My absolute favorite thing to do when I relax is to pick up my hook or throw on my latest guilty pleasure.

Then, I had a stroke of genius and realized that I could combine the two.  I love learning new patterns and difficult stitches because I find it to be challenging, rewarding, and it keeps me on my toes.

But, intricate patterns often involve a lot of concentration and they aren’t exactly ideal for multi-tasking.  That’s why I’m so excited to introduce The Ultimate “Netflix & Chill” Bundle.

Cobbles and Ladders Infinity Scarf Crochet Pattern

| Crochet

This cobbles and ladders infinity scarf crochet pattern is fun and the constant change up with the stitches each row helps to make it a more interesting scarf to crochet. But don't worry, it's still pretty easy to crochet, making it another great project for beginners. #crochetpattern #freecrochetpattern #crochetscarf #ilovecrochet #crochetaddict Cobbles & Ladders Infinity Scarf Crochet Pattern

The aligned cobble stitch has become one of my favorite crochet stitches in the last little while. It’s easy, fluid and mixes well with other stitches, as is the case for this crochet pattern.

While row upon row of aligned cobble stitch is nice, I wanted this stitch to have a little more dimension and interest. Adding a row of nicely laid out double crochets gives this crochet infinity scarf a lighter look and feel…exactly what I was after.

This crochet pattern is fun and the constant change up with row stitches helps to make it a more interesting scarf to crochet. But don’t worry, it’s still pretty easy to crochet, making it another great crochet project for beginners.

The Aligned Cobble Stitch Crochet Tutorial

| Crochet

The aligned cobble stitch is ridiculously easy to crochet. It's the perfect stitch for someone who's new to crochet but looking for a little more adventure. As long as you can single crochet and triple/treble crochet you're set. #crochet #crochetstitch #crochettutorial #crochetvideo #learncrochet #easycrochet

CROCHET STITCH OF THE MONTH – THE ALIGNED COBBLE STITCH

Welcome to my monthly stitch of the month post. This month I’m featuring an easy crochet stitch called the Aligned Cobble Stitch.

I fell in love with this stitch for one reason…the texture. Isn’t it just divine! It has a lovely raised pebble sort of look to it and the symmetry in the pattern is great for all those people out there who like the clean and tidy look.

Not only does this stitch look amazing, the aligned cobble stitch is also ridiculously easy to crochet. It’s the perfect stitch for someone who’s new to crochet but looking for a little more adventure.

As long as you can single crochet and triple/treble crochet you can crochet this sweet little stitch.

Check out some of my patterns that use the Aligned Cobble Stitch including the Aligned Cobble Anytime Tote, the Aligned Cobble Stitch Fingerless Gloves and the Aligned Cobble Tea Towel Crochet Pattern.

Aligned Cobble Stitch Pattern

In U.S. terminology

  • sc = single crochet
  • tr = triple crochet

Start by chaining multiples of 2 + 2 to the desired length.

Row 1: Insert your hook into the 2nd chain from the hook, sc in each chain until the end of the row. Turn.

Row 2: Ch1, sc into the ch space below, *tr into the next stitch, then sc into the next stitch*. Rep until the end of the row ending with a sc in the last ch stitch.

Continue Rows 1-2 until you have reached the desired length for your project.
