This is a great crochet hat pattern for beginners. It’s so simple you’ll probably end up making several crochet baby hats before you’re done.
This adorable baby hat is made using Berroco Vintage DK yarn. It’s an acrylic wool nylon blend. It’s also machine washable which is ideal for baby garments. You never know what spills might happen.

Baby Hat Crochet Pattern
Hat – Size 0-3 months
Rnd 1: Ch 3, 9 dc in 3rd ch from hook (2 skipped chs count as 1 dc), join in top of first st with sl st. (10 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (does not count as a st here and throughout), 2 dc in each st around, join in top of first st with sl st. (20 dc)
Rnd 3: Ch 2, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st; repeat from * around, join in top of first st with sl st. (30 dc)
Rnd 4: Ch 2, *2 dc in next st, dc in next 2 sts; repeat from * around, join in top of first st with sl st. (40 dc)
Rnd 5: Ch 2, *2 dc in next st, dc in next 3 sts; repeat from * around, join in top of first st with sl st. (50 dc)
Rnd 6: Change to color B, ch 2 (counts as ch space), skip first st, *Puff in next st, ch 1, skip 1 st; repeat from * around to last st, Puff in last st, join in top of first st with sl st. (25 Puffs, 25 ch spaces)
