Bugs & Butterflies coloring page
This weekend we did our first camping trip of the 2015 spring/summer camping season along the breathtaking Juan de Fuca Marine Trail on Vancouver Island. Camping along the Pacific West Coast is one of our family’s favorite past times. We had an amazing time spending three days out in nature.
During our camping adventure, we saw a myriad of wildlife, sea life and interesting creatures including a close encounter with a black bear (see photo below). Camping in the forest and on the beach among all the flora and fauna, I was inspired to get out my sketchbook and draw some cute little insects and butterflies.

Please note, these drawings aren’t really anatomically correct but rather fun “interpretations” of bugs and butterflies in general. My daughter loves these coloring pages and the butterflies are her favorite insects to color. I’m sure there’s lots of nature lovers out there who will enjoy these coloring pages. Happy coloring!

Kids will love drawing in the faces with their own designs.
Blank Faces Drawing Page – My daughter loves to draw (I wonder where she gets that from). Most of the time she just draws from her imagination but sometimes she asks for pages to colour. She really enjoys drawing faces and experimenting with different styles of eyes, noses and smiles, so I created a page full of various blank faces for her to practice her facial features and expressions on.
Noelle can’t be the only little person out there who loves to draw, so I’m passing this colouring page on so that other kids can share their creative genius too. Have fun!

Zentangle… what the heck is that? Ya, I didn’t have a clue either until I discovered it on Pinterest. After doing a bit of research, I realized that I’ve been “zentangl-ing” all my life. Basically they’re just fancy doodles. Check out my pinterest board to see all the amazing Zentangles I’ve pinned.
Here’s a better definition from the Zentangle.com website: Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Almost anyone can use it to create beautiful images. It increases focus and creativity, provides artistic satisfaction along with an increased sense of personal well being. The Zentangle method is enjoyed all over this world across a wide range of skills, interests and ages.We believe that life is an art form and that our Zentangle method is an elegant metaphor for deliberate artistry in life.
So, in light of my discovery I decided to create my first ever intent fully designed Zentangle. What do you think?
