12 Easy One-Skein crochet patterns

If you’re anything like me, you have a yarn stash. Random skeins you’ve picked up from here or there. Or skeins you have leftover from other projects.

It can be hard to find one skein crochet patterns, so you end up just holding on to a lot of these single skeins for a long time. Even if you want to use them right away.

Well, in order to help inspire you, I’ve compiled a list of 12 easy 1 skein crochet patterns. All of these fun projects just require one skein of yarn. So you can finally use some of those leftover skeins.

These are great to make last minute white elephant gifts or if you just want a fast, fun project to fill your time. There’s a lot of variety to choose from. See for yourself!

In case you ran out of time or forgot a present here or there, I’ve put together this creative list of easy-to-make holiday gift ideas. #crochetpatterns #crochetholidaypatterns #crochetgifts

12 Days of Crochet Gift Giving – Easy-to-Make Holiday Gifts

The holidays can be hectic and even the most organized person can struggle to keep up. With family dinners, and coordinating travel plans it’s inevitable that something might slip through the cracks.

In case you ran out of time or forgot a present here or there, I’ve put together this creative list of easy-to-make holiday gift ideas. They’re quick to make and really unique.

You can make these projects in a weekend, and some of them in a couple of hours. But they look detailed and your loved ones will be grateful to receive a handmade gift.

There are lots to choose from, so see which ones stand out to you!

Free Yarn Stash Tote: So Many Yarns So Little Time

Ok this one technically isn’t something you can make, but it is a perfect gift to give to a yarn lover this holiday season. And the best part? It’s 100% free (just cover shipping). This cute little tote is the perfect size to pop your work in progress in it, some extra yarn and hooks and needles to take on the go. Grab your free yarn stash tote here.

Easy Done in a Day Crochet Baby Blanket

This will be the fastest blanket you ever stitch up. Made from a chunky 100% merino wool yarn, it crochets up fast and adds extra squish. It’s the perfect cozy holiday gift. As long as you know how to chain and double crochet, you’ll be able to make this beautiful little baby blanket for the new member of your family!

If your loved ones are expecting a new baby, pick up your hook and put this together for them. It’s a fast, thoughtful gift

Easy Done in a Day Crochet Baby Blanket

Easy Elizabeth Stitch Fingerless Gloves

If you’re looking for a last minute gift idea for a group of people, these fingerless gloves are perfect for you. You can make a bunch of them in a short amount of time, and you can customize the color per person. They’re made using a 100% organic cotton which makes the decorative ribbed stitch and elizabeth stitch really stand out.

Make several pairs for your nieces and nephews, or make a set for the whole family. These are a suitable gift for everyone.

Easy Elizabeth Stitch Fingerless Gloves

Reusable Crochet Face Scrubbies

If you have a niece who really loves skincare and has a deep concern for the environment, these reusable face scrubbies are amazing! They’re made out of a cotton acrylic yarn, perfect for gentle exfoliation and washing away your makeup. You can make several of them and put them in a cute little tin as a stocking stuffer. Or put them in a gift basket with your favorite face wash for an easy, thoughtful present!

Give back to the environment this holiday season with these reusable face scrubbies. They’re the perfect stocking stuffer for children and teenagers in your family.

Reusable Crochet Face Scrubbies

Easy Thick Crochet Wash Dishcloths

These dishcloths are a wonderful gift idea for the person who spends their time in the kitchen. Since these are crocheted using two balls of yarn at once, rather than a single thread, they’re squishy and durable. Strong enough to hold up against those holiday casserole dishes, or gentle enough to use as a washcloth in the shower. Include them in your face wash and reusable face scrubbies basket from above or put them in with a cookbook for a friend.

These would go great in a care basket if you’re making a set as washcloths. They’re also incredibly practical in the kitchen and hold up better than commercial dish towels. Stitch a set up in no time.

Easy Thick Crochet Wash Dishcloths

Outlander Cowl

If you’ve ever seen Outlander, you know how beautiful the costumes are! This cowl was inspired by lead character, Claire’s, knit cowl, and is much quicker to stitch up. Using half double crochets and a worsted wool yarn, this scarf comes together quickly and feels really warm.  Put it in a box with a copy of the Outlander blu-ray series or give it to your stylish mother in law. This scarf is so simple and elegant. It is perfect for the holidays.

Give someone a gift that will encourage them to be the leading lady in their own life. This cowl was inspired by a courageous woman, and will hopefully inspire adventure in your loved ones too.

Outlander Cowl

Cross Hatch Button Up Cowl

If you’re looking for a fast present with special details, this cowl is perfect for you. It has a sweet button closure on the left side and uses a decorative open stitch. It’s made out of thick, chunky yarn so it’s warm and cozy for the winter. It would look sweet on a snowy winter morning, and even better wrapped up under the tree.

This is a sweet, classic piece that will never go out of style. It’s delicate pattern and intense warmth make it the perfect winter accessory. You might even want to make one for yourself!

Cross Hatch Button Up Cowl

Crochet Infinity Scarf

This is a fast, and basic scarf pattern. It’s made out of a worsted weight yarn and the stitches are kept simple so it’s easy to make and easier to wear. This is one of those staple pieces that will go with everything and never goes out of style. The best part is, everyone will love this scarf. It’s great for all ages and you could even make several before the holidays roll around.

This is so easy to put together and will go with everything. Make them for all the women in your family. You can never have too many scarves, after all.

Crochet Infinity Scarf

Elizabeth Stitch Boot Cuffs

These would go great with the Elizabeth fingerless gloves we mentioned above. These boot cuffs stitch up quickly and use the elizabeth stitch as well. They’ll keep you warm and look fashionable. You can make them in any color, but we like them in a nice doeskin neutral color. Give people a matched set with the gloves or have these stand alone. They’re a thoughtful and fast gift idea that anyone could use.

Boot cuffs are a subtle detail to any outfit and add an extra layer of warmth. No one wants to be out trekking through the snow, but it’s inevitable this time of year. Make it easier on someone by stitching these up.

Elizabeth Stitch Boot Cuffs

Crochet Iphone Case

This is a gift that is perfect for anyone. Most people you know have a phone or tablet, and this is a personal way to give them a practical present. The pattern for this phone case is easily customizable to accommodate for the size of your device. Just simply add on extra stitches at the beginning for width. The case even has a cute little button closure at the front with a crocheted loop.

Everyone of all ages could use this treat. Make stocking stuffers for the whole family and feel good that you made them something they’ll definitely use.

Crochet Iphone Case

Cross-Over Stitch Infinity Scarf

This infinity scarf pattern is really straightforward and simple. It consists of single and double crochet stitches, to form a textured pattern. It’s chunky enough to keep you warm even on the coldest day of winter, and it will go with any outfit. Scarves are great gifts because people can always use them. Make someone something they’ll really appreciate with this quick and easy pattern.

Infinity scarves are perfect for layering and this is the time of year where you can’t leave the house in less than 3 layers. Keep your loved ones cozy with this fast, warm gift.

Easy Crochet Can Cozy

These can cozies are a wonderful present for a family member who spends a lot of time at the lake or beach. They would even be great to take camping. You can make a bunch of these in no time, so they’re perfect for a family vacation. Or make them all in different colors so people can tell their drinks apart at get-togethers.

Crochet can cozies are practical and always needed. They’re easy to take along on trips and use at a family gathering. This is an easy way to give someone a gift they’ll really love and use.

Aligned Cobble Tea Towel

The aligned cobble stitch makes for a beautifully elegant design. It’s perfect for these tea towels. This pattern is made to last, so you can pass these down through your family. Pull them out for the holiday feasts and family get-togethers, and share in your memories. It’s worked in a 100% cotton yarn so they’re easy to keep clean, and they crochet up quickly. This would be a really lovely housewarming present this holiday season.

The kitchen is the heart of a home, and what you put into it matters. Spruce up your space for family get-togethers with these unique and beautiful tea towels. Or gift them to some new homeowners in your life.

It’s easy to get carried away with Holiday planning and forget a present here or there. With these fast, simple ideas, you can give someone a gi that came from the heart. (And that can be made in a weekend!) You don’t have to sacrifice quality when you’re short on time. This list has a little something for everyone!
