I thoroughly enjoyed perusing your website! Your coloring sheets are fabulous. I can’t wait to share them! Your blank faces reminded me so much of the book cover from the book, Wonder by R.J. Palacio. If you haven’t read it, you should!
Thanks for sharing your amazing talent!

I love your blog!!! I found it when I did a Google search for a free boot cuff crochet pattern. Now, I have a recipe for my favorite (Miso soup) that sounds easy enough for me to try. Then I found your etsy shop (I have one too!). I’m love when I find another crafty soul.

Your cowls are absolutely beautiful. Here it is one week before Christmas and 5 girls to Crochet for and what do I do?

I have downloaded hundreds of patterns, free and paid for and not one have I made yet.

I just found your Cross Hatch Cowl and this I know I want to make. Along with some others for myself. I have 7 children (all grown and their husbands and or wives) as well as 7 natural grands and 4 more grands added thru marriage. Yikes!

I have a very rare disease that is literally destroying my endocrine system, it is called Addison’s disease, along with Hashimotto Disease, Severe Degenerative Disk Disease. I am in constant severe pain, and I have no immune system so I tire extremely easy add well as when someone gets a cold I get pneumonia. And I work full time, for at least now.

I have turned to crochet as my outlet, I am just learning all the stitches and how to make the pretties, so I thank you very much for sharing the beautiful pattern, as I for sure will be making this for my daughter’s and daughter in laws. I better get cracking.

Thank you so much, and I did post your link to your store on my FB page.

Happiest of Holidays to you and yours!

I crocheted a zillion years ago and forgot what I knew then. A group is making afghans for Wounded Warriors and I wanted to join in.
I love the afghan you made for your daughter in the pink/peach, but think maybe not so puffy for a guy, but some what chunky. Can you tell me what gauge of yarn and hook #.
Thanks so much. I look forward to seeing more of you.

    Hi Jamey!
I’ve loved so many of your lovely creations! Right now I am looking at the Outlander Cowl and have a question regarding that.
I see that you held two strands together throughout. I have always found this to be so awkward for me and frequently end up with tangles and knots – and FRUSTRATION!
I wonder if I can just use a Bulky (#5) or even “Super Bulky” (#6) yarn instead?
I’m thinking of making this for one of my (grown) daughters, She works with State – and is frequently working outdoors – in Maryland – and in Winter is going to be COLD! This cowl/scarf looks like it would be just the thing for her….but I’d like to use a Bulky yarn instead of two strands together. Do you think that would work?

I’m working on your pattern SIMPLE SHELLS LIGHT WRAP CROCHET PATTERN, is there dc stitches missing in ROW 4. I’m just getting started with crocheting again and for some reason I’m having trouble with that row.

I love the Elizabeth Stitch Boot Cuff Crochet Pattern but it is too big. How do I make the cuffs smaller length way….I need the length to be 11″ but when I reduced the number of chains, it didn’t come out right. How many chains do I chain to make it 11″ long?

    Thank you

In your pattern, you state to start with 10 + 4 stitches. I am an ordinary size lady and when I get a few rows done, it barely goes across the top of my hands. And then at the end of your pattern instructions it says to fold in half and stitch. I don’t know if I am just dumb or do you mean to really do that. my wrist is almost 7 inches and gets bigger as it goes towards my fingers. Please explain this part of your instructions more for us dummys.

Hello, I’m an 8th grade middle school teacher and I’ve been using your decoder ring in my lessons as a feature in an escape room. They love it. I was wondering what program you used to make it? I’ve tried creating my own in powerpoint and word but can never get things to line up just right. Can you help a teacher out?

Hi, I love the Outlander Cowl pattern. Thanks for sharing. I have a question – I held 2 stands of Cascade Pacific a worsted yarn 18-20 in + 4″. Recommended needle size US 7-8. I understand that the 17in represents the 32ch side of the cowl and the 28in is the around the neck size. I guess my question is my cowl is only 10in so I would have to use thicker yarn or chain more stitches? Thanks for your help. Also can you please add me to your blog?

    Hello Jamey

Thank you very much for sharing your pattern for the Simple Shells Light Wrap crochet pattern. It is gorgeous! I found it on Pinterest and have already purchased the yarn to make it.

I am an intermediate level crocheter with a fair amount of experience, but for some reason I am struggling with this pattern. Not sure if I am misreading something, or perhaps there are a few typos in the pattern (???).

(First, please know that I feel terrible questioning your pattern that you have posted for others to use, but if there are some slight errors, I am supposing that you would want to address them.)

Row 2: should the asterisk come before the “(dc, ch2, dc)” instruction? It would seem that this V-stitch should alternate with the “dc in 3 stitches” pattern along this entire row.

Row 3: The shell stitch “(3dc, ch1, 3dc)” plus the “dc in the next 3 stitches” in Row 3 makes a repeat of 10 stitches.

Row 4: The repeat of Row 3 is not matched by Row 4 that only shows to complete a V-stitch (dc, ch2, dc) in the 1 ch space of every shell stitch, or a 4-stitch repeat.

Row 5: In this row, the instructions says to “dc in the next 3 dc.” There are no 3 dc sectins from Row 4 to place these stitches.

I tried to move the placement of the “dc in the next 3 dc” section from Row 3 to Row 4, but my shells began to look like granny squares, and not the open, airy look in your pictures that drew me to your pattern in the first place. Clearly, I am missing something.

It is also possible that I am misreading something in a major way. If this is so, would it be too much to ask for you to include a quick, hand-drawn diagram with the pattern on your site?

Again, thank you for sharing your pattern. I hope to be able to make it and wear this winter.

    Sincerely,

    Maureen

IMPORTANT – Hi Jamey, I purchased your Easy Breezy Buttoned Cowl Crochet Pattern but I have a question about the pattern. I know the asterisk symbols usually mean to repeat the pattern from asterisk to asterisk. Row 1 and Row 3 do not show the first asterisk where the repeat begins. Is it a typo or am I reading it incorrectly? Please help. I’m excited to get started. Thank you very much.

I’ve been using this pattern to make hats to donate to a Navy hospital. They’ve asked me for bootie. I had an easy pattern but before I could print it someone closed the window and I can’t find it again. Do you have an EASY pattern I could use to make matching sets?

I have tried to print Essential Blanket by Pattern Paradise
It has all different lines across the pattern where you can’t read pattern. It is like different words over the pattern.
Is there some way for you to send pattern to me.

I just started the Easy Wear Crochet Cardigan. I see that on the 2nd row of the Side, you say, “Do not ch, sc into the 2st sc from the previous row.” Please help – I’m thinking that if you do that, you will lose the first two stitches – SC and DC. Or, in other words, the last two stitches of the previous row.

When doing the crochet cardigan pattern. How do you turn or do you keep going around. I tried turning and lose stitches on every roll since you don’t chain.

how am i supposed to contact you privately? the page has wonky html showing instead of a contact form, or something.

i was going to write to say that the intrusive pop-up for the dollar yarn club has literally made it so i’ll never visit again.

“no, i’ll continue to pay full price for yarn” blah blah blah. rude and condescending. keep it classy.

I’m making your easy-done-in-day baby blanket (https://dabblesandbabbles.com/easy-done-in-a-day-crochet-baby-blanket/?fbclid=IwAR33gGzoFDsrDLrxB6Fu1m2FPOkit7pbcGZ4kPKSAveXoKpJSivDqZi2WeM), and I think your instructions are worded misleadingly because I’m 9 rows into and just discovered that the # of DCs in a row goes down by one each row. Thus I’m making a triangle. It’s my 1st attempt at crochet and taking lessons from an experienced crocheter. She interpreted row 2’s instructions as skipping the 1st DC, then DC twice into the space between the next group of 2 DCs literally (we skip that first hole and DC twice into the hole between the next two groups of double DCs)and you end up with one less DC per row. I think the pattern should read, “chain 3, turn, DC twice into the space between the end DC and the 1st group of 2DCs, then DC twice into each space between 2DCs until you DC once in last space before chain. I have to rip out 9 rows of this blanket to fix it.

    Jamey,
I would really like to make your Elegant Capelet Wrap. I think it will be perfect for my office because it will cover me just enough and give me the freedom to continue working without having wrestle with a shawl. However, it is way too small and as a beginner at crochet I’m not confident in how to increase the size. Could you please offer some guidance?

I would LOVE to have some of that FREE yarn, but the minimal S&H fee is more than I can afford. I am an vivacious but unemployed old lady with NO income (living off my savings), so every dollar I spend for shipping reduces the funds available for food, medications, house expenses, and other life essentials. I’m trying to use some of the wonderful patterns from this site and others to bring in enough money to buy yarn to make and sell projects so that I can buy more yarn and continue the cycle.

Thank you for all the fabulous patterns you have made available at no cost. If it weren’t for designers like you who offer free project plans, I probably wouldn’t stand a chance.
