Star Stitch Striped Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern
This month’s stitch of the month is the star stitch and what better way to showcase this gorgeous crochet stitch than using it in a blanket.
This crochet baby blanket is so sweet, you’ll want to make one for your next baby or grandbaby. Simply switch up the colors to fit with any nursery decor.
While this stitch has a couple of minor challenging aspects, once you get through the first few rows, you’ll find yourself flying through the rest of it. And to keep it simple, we’ve used a basic single crochet stitch for the border.
Once you’ve completed one crochet star stitch blanket you’ll find yourself looking for more babies who could use a cozy blanket to cuddle up with.

Insert hook in the chain and pull up a loop for the next 2 chains for a total of 6 loops on the hook. Ch 1.*
Repeat from * to * across the rest of the chain, ending with an hdc in the last stitch where you ended the last star stitch.

Insert hook in the chain and pull up a loop for the next 3 stitches for a total of 6 loops on the hook.

I’m not 100% sure what you’re asking so I thought maybe I’d just show you what it looks like so that I cover all my bases, haha.

September 1, 2019 at 4:57 PM (1 year ago)Hi Kathy. Love the pattern! However, the instructions for Row 2 should say SC (single crochet) not CH for chain. Had to watch the video to catch the problem.
Thank you.
