The holidays are almost here and if you’re like me, you always go the extra mile when it comes to crochet gifts for those you love. The Snowflake Present Sack is a creative and fun crochet project for the holidays.
This crochet bag pattern is perfect for taking gifts to your relative’s house this season. Just pile in all your thoughtful gifts and go. It’s a great way to have everything in one place so you don’t leave any presents behind.
Or make one as a personalized gift bag. It’s like a second present for the one you love and it’s reusable.
Each Christmas sack is crocheted using the half double crochet stitch with the decorative tapestry stitch to achieve the snowflake design. It has a chain stitch cord with mini pom poms to tie the sacks closed too. This pattern will give you the opportunity to learn some new crochet skills.
The best part is how soft these bags are. They’re made out of Plymouth Encore Worsted yarn. It’s a 3 ply acrylic wool blend. So it’s strong enough to hold your presents and soft to the touch.

Pom Poms (make 2)
Wrap the white yarn around 2 fingers about 150 times, then take another length of yarn and tie it around the center of yarn, between the fingers. Slide the yarn off of fingers and tighten the knot around the center of the pom pom. Tie very tightly, double knotting the yarn. Cut the wrapped ends free, and trim and fluff as needed to get the desired shape. Use the long tails to attach one pom to each end of the tie chain, then thread the tails back into the pom pom and trim to blend.
These Santa Sacks are the perfect touch to any holiday. They’re soft and durable and can hold all of your thoughtful gifts for others. Or stitch one up and fill it with stocking stuffers. Whatever you do, this little sack will be a blast to make and bring joy to those you love.
